PATCHS
What is PATCHS?How it works?

PATCHS is an online consultation service that allows you to access GP services online. This prevents you from waiting on the telephone line or coming in.

Once you have registered with PATCHS, you can access it via the GP website. You can submit a request by answering a series of simple questions to help your GP understand your problem. Your answers are sent to the GP who will then respond as quickly as possible during their opening hours. Responses may be via telephone calls or SMS.

Patients who lack capacity or cannot book appointments via PATCHS such as the elderly, those who have mental health issues, learning disabilities, do not have the technology/internet can still call the surgery to book appointments.

New/Ongoing Health Problem Request must be submitted first in order to book an appointment

The doctor will receive your request and triage it

Within 24 hours, you will be sent an SMS with a link to self-book your appointment or a member of staff will call you regarding your request

Please note:

All clinical requests (New/Ongoing Health Problems) are available from 8:30am – 12:30pm

Non-clinical requests (Admin/Medication Requests) are available from 8:30am – 6:30pm

Over-75s have a dedicated phone line for emergency appointments on the day

Under 2s are also seen on the day whether clinically indicated

Connecting NHS App to the GPKeeping your data secure

In order to gain full access and connect to your GP practice, you need to prove your identity using a photo ID or registration details for your GP surgery’s online services. Please see the reception staff to receive your registration details.

Once we have carried out checks to confirm your identity, the app will securely connect to information from your surgery. To keep your access secure, you will receive a security code to your phone number each time you use the app
